 A-Thug

Aaron McBride, also known as in the industry as "A-Thug". I am an independent rapper and CEO of the indie label Black Rolling Stones Ent located in Harlem, New York. I have 14 mixtapes and have been creating music for 10 years . I have an extensive following in the tri-state; particularly upper westside of Harlem, where I also a vend Megastar mechandise and sell my CDs on 125th street. I have performed about 175 of shows in various venues, focusing on the tri-state area, but in other states as well. Recently I've thrown 12 events under my company Megastar Brand. I have a strong online presence on youtube, Facebook. / Twitter/ ig /etc. Aaron McBride has been the head of marketing since 2003 for Black Rolling Stones Ent. His duties include but are not limited to: overseeing projects from initial concept through completion, booking shows, securing event venues, TV & online radio showcases, implementing and managing print promotional materials (business cards, album covers,T-shirts, posters, fliers, etc.). Mr. McBride is also responisible for maintaining a strong online presence, and managing online promotional materials including online stores, blogs, maintaining web sites and email blasts. He has also been an Executive Producer for Black Rolling Stones Ent since 2003. He's produced mix tapes, albums, DVD’s, video blogs, videos, and manages staff including: artists, producers, engineers, promoters, and street teams. He attended Bergen Community College majoring in music business. Then went on to attend Touro College majoring in audio engineering. He took courses in music business, electronics, post production, studio recording, pro tools, reason, and midi. McBride recieved a Bachelor's in Digital Media Arts Some would consider A-Thug the new kid on the block, but his social media presence says otherwise. He's headlined showcases that have been packed to capacity. For the past 10 years the young king has been proving, bar for bar, why New York; Harlem to be exact, is the home of the spitters. With 10 years under his belt it's definitely safe to say there’s nothing new about A-Thug. The proud descendant of a Panamanian mother and African-American father is bringing back that old New York rap vibe that the game has been desperately missing. He spits melanin rap, but he’s no Kendrick or J.Cole. A-Thug cannot be catergorized. If you listen to his song Black Power he comes off as conscious, yet on Bomb First he’s a merciless mobster. A-Thug is a versatile lyricist. His flow is impeccable, and he can freestyle to any beat. Each track in his extensive catalogues touches only the surface of his musical understanding. His flow can be compared to those of rappers such as; 2Pac, Big L, or even Big Pun, or Prodigy . It’s not far-fetched to hear his name mentioned in the same category as these lyrical geniuses.

Much like them A-Thug created his own brand, and became the master of his own destiny. Through his MegaStar Imprint, which launched in 2006, he has single handedly solidified his presence in the world of entertainment. When he is not wearing the many hats necessary to run of his burgeoning brand, you can find him on 125th street, acorss the street from the Apollo Theatre, supplying his Megsastar merchandise to the public. This ambitious entrepenuer also sells his wares online, in music, videography, custom clothing, photography, or the highly successful MegaStar TV. Whether A-Thug is the answer to the decline of New York in the hip hop stratosphere remains to be seen, but what can’t be debated is this young star is definitely on the rise.
