Wizdom Phoenix

Born in San Diego, CA Wizdom Phoenix began to show an interest in music at the age of six years old. Her singing debut took place in the San Diego Meadow Brook Recreation Center talent show where she sang “My Guy", a 1964 number-one hit single recorded by Mary Wells, written and produced by Smokey Robinson of The Miracles for the Motown label. By the age of fourteen, Wizdom Phoenix was successfully covering artists such as Ce Ce Winnans, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Under the direction and guidance of her Mother, Wizdom Phoenix began participating in church productions and local Christian venues around town. From there Wizdom Phoenix began writing and singing backgrounds for various solo artists in the San Diego area which led her to Chico, CA where she recorded her first demo. In 2004, Wizdom phoenix moved to Las Vegas where she began singing background for Julius Williams at the Texas Railhead, the South Point Hotel and Casino and other various Las Vegas hotels and venues. With this opportunity and a solid demo under her belt she gained the attention of Blakk Ragg Music Groups C.E.O., Mario Grubbs. Working closely  with the producer and his team to perfect her stage presence, writing and recording skills, Wizdom Phoenix recorded her first self-titled EP. That EP soon gained the attention of Prince Linzy, the President and Owner of Money Active Records, a bicoastal  Independent Record Label out of Las Vegas, Nevada and Miami, Florida.

I​n 2009 Wizdom Phoenix signed with and became, the First Lady of Money Active Records. In 2010 the label did a soft release for the R&B  single "Roll  with me" and in 2011 the label released the Pop/R&B hit single titled for the album "Swaggalicious Misses". The album is dedicated to the platform for Women Empowerment and Domestic Violence Awareness. The Public Service Announcement on the album proceeding the song entitled, "Fly", is a domestic violence awareness piece spoken by Ms. Kim Linzy,  The Musical Director of Contemporary Jazz Station KUNV 91.5.  In 2012, The Record Label did a video release of the single, "Don't want to let go", which is an R&B ballad written by the singer about a long distance relationship that she felt needed closure. During that time Wizdom Phoenix performed in venues such as the Beauty Bar, Fiesta Hotel and Casino, The Vanguard, Money Plays, Jerry's Nugget, Lucky Club Hotel and Casino, Luna Lounge, The Palms Hotel and Casino and more. From 2012 to 2014, Wizdom Phoenix expanded her repertoire by stepping back into the live band arena as a lead vocalist  with, "Enticement - The Livest Band in Vegas". For over a year and a half, the band made their home at Scoundrel's Pub, performed at various venues such as The Plaza Hotel and Casino and the family restaurant Meskerem all with 24 hour round the clock radio promotion on Power 88.

1 fm. In 2014, Wizdom was nominated for and won the category "Best Female R&B Vocalist"  in the Power House Radio Music Awards. That same year Wizdom Phoenix was diagnosed with Cancer and had to take a break from her music career however, after a long year of healing, on May 5th 2015, Wizdom Phoenix returned to her career full throttle, by kicking off the "Swaggalicious Misses Tour" in Houston Texas. Later in 2015, Wizdom Phoenix was awarded the title " Ambassador of Peace"  by the Las Vegas Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce President, Katherine Duncan  and the International Educational Peace Center. In February of 2016 Wizdom signed with Emerald Dragon Entertainment and began working with Manager Eural Strickland III, to take her career from underground to mainstream and secured another nomination in the 2016 BMA Awards for 'Best Hip Hop Female Vocalist". Wizdom Phoenix was invited to and performed, in the 2016 Summer Concert held in Oak Park, Sacramento California. She released her next hit single entitled "The Internet" on Veterans day later that year. In 2017, Wizdom Phoenix re-joined the live music scene in Las Vegas working with: Big Frank and the Knockout Crew, Lance and The Music Lovers  and The Untouchables! Wizdom is currently working with Lady Brandy The Queen of Blues, and The Night of Soul Band With host Mc Duke Mills! 

Wizdom Phoenix is a Veteran of the United States Navy, a Business Major, photographer and, an editor of short films, videos and books. When Wizdom Phoenix is not recording, performing or perfecting her craft, she volunteers her time to various churches and charity organizations like the Black Girls Rock annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game, Ignited Praise Fellowship Blessed to be a blessing charity organization and Kingdom Builders Apostolic Faith Church homeless women and children's rehabilitation and donations program. She hopes to use her platform as a musician to encourage and inspire others to make, and be the difference in their community.
